EuPRAXIA-DN Outreach film recognized at MSCA Coordinator’s Day 2024

Each year the European Commission organizes a briefing day for coordinators of new networks funded within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The main objective of these events is to provide a briefing on the key management and procedural aspects of the project life cycle, on how to comply with the MSCA rules under Horizon Europe, and to share and discuss best practice.

This year, the MSCA Coordinator’s Day will take place 12th November 2024 and will be streamed to more than 1000 project coordinators, managers and researchers. The outreach film "EuPRAXIA-DN: Global Minds, Accelerating Tomorrow" will be highlighted as a good example of communicating and promoting the MSCA Doctoral Networks training initiatives.

The short film was produced by EuPRAXIA-DN Fellows during their media training week in November 2023. The training was incorporated into the network training program to equip Fellows with essential media techniques to communicate their research to the wider community. The film showcases a major leap forward in particle accelerator technology and its potential impact across various fields.

EuPRAXIA-DN Coordinator Professor Carsten P Welsch comments “I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of our Fellows during the media training week has now been recognized in such a nice way. The short film provides an excellent overview of the main project aims of the EuPRAXIA Doctoral Network”. Prof Welsch is one of the most experienced coordinators of MSCA projects. Over the last decade, he has led six networks and four individual MSCA Fellowships. Last November, he was also invited to share his experience in fostering networking and synergies across training initiatives at the MSCA Coordinator’s Day in Brussels.

A Leap in Film Production: The Virtual Production Technique

The film's production with experts from Carbon Digital in Media City UK, Manchester is based on virtual production technique and thus marks a significant departure from conventional film-making methods.
